Covid-19: The Fall of America and the Rise of China
The Corona crisis is a time of remembering the Greco-Roman philosophers´, and the early Christian´s, mantra: Memento Mori. Remember that you must die.
Evolutionism, and especially transhumanism, have for years now been busy trying to make us forget this mantra, promising us that immortality and the digital “Garden of Eden”, are around the next corner. The Corona crisis has forced us to remember that this is not so. The Corona crisis has punctured the ideology of evolutionism. Evolutionism was created in the 19th century, but the background is to be found in the Renaissance, not least in the scientific breakthrough from approximately 1550 onwards. It is an ideology which we still celebrate in the Western world. We find it natural to talk about progress, development, growth, renewal, innovation, visions, whether it's economic, political, social conditions, spiritual - and also when it comes to art. It is a linear view of history where it is about being constantly progressive, revolutionary, dynamic, unconventional, without rest, without end. Evolutionism is so close-knitted in our minds that we find it very difficult to imagine that it could be different. But evolutionism is a newer Western phenomenon. In the rest of the world, it did not exist before the Europeans. All pre-modern societies had a cyclic view of history. In the society of today it is stated in all areas that we must move on, develop ourselves, renew ourselves and the institutions, companies, develop trade, exports, imports. In the cyclic societies concepts such as gods, providence and destiny were central. But such concepts have long been replaced with ideas of growth and progress. In business, innovation and expansion have become key words. Evolutionism has gone so much into the blood that it also characterizes our view of spirituality. The Indian Yuga teaching, for example, has a cyclic view of history. The teaching is written down in the Vedas. Yuga in Hinduism is an epoch or era within a four-age cycle. A complete Yuga starts with the Satya Yuga, via Treta Yuga and Dvapara Yuga into a Kali Yuga. Our present time is a Kali Yuga, which started at 3102 BCE with the end of the Kurukshetra War (or Mahabharata war). What´s interesting about this view of our present day´s history is that it has the direct opposite view of the linear progressive history of evolutionism, namely that we are heading into a very long time of decline. The ages see a gradual decline of dharma, wisdom, knowledge, intellectual capability, life span, emotional and physical strength. If we should try to view the Corona Crisis in connection with this teaching, we could say, that the collective ego-inflation of our time is based on extremely self-obsessed thinking. This self-obsessed thinking is especially seen in the United States of America. In his book Fantasyland – How America Went Haywire, Kurt Andersen writes that an entertainer, reality tv star, conspiracy theorist, con artist and pathological liar are now sitting in the White House. In his book Andersen argues for that USA was created by people, who likes good stories and the believe in the, some times a bit too, fantastic worlds. The book describes the Trump-phenomenon as a direct consequence of the land´s history. The national character is determined by the right of believing what you want. No matter what others are saying. This moment in history, the era of Donald Trump, where facts no longer are facts, are quite natural for Americans. When the puritans went from Europe to America, they precisely did this because they insisted on the right to believe what they wanted to, even if the surrounded world believed they were crazy. The establishment of Hollywood´s dream universe marks another turning-point on USA´s path towards the ultimate state of “Fantasyland”. The most famous people in USA are now actors – persons who pretend to be other persons, who exists in an alternative version of reality. In the movie theatres´ seats, everybody can now live a life with unrealistic stories, and they can dream themselves away into another reality. The 1960s puts even more fire to this. The hippies´ rebellion against the existing norms begins in a beautiful way, but leads to a widespread relativism, where the subjective view becomes more important than the objective. The political left, and its insistence that you can perceive many things in different ways, was gaining foothold in the academical world and therefore it was turned into the society as such. With time the political right was following and has taken relativism into new heights. Andersen argues that the 1968s somehow is partly responsible for the denial of facts coming from the political right. I have myself argued for this. American weapon enthusiasts, climate deniers and conspiracy theoreticians are in a high degree using information which are against the objective truth. The hippies´ message about that you can believe in anything because truth is constructed, created a markedly movement. In the 1960s all forms of belief and speculations were suddenly made possible, says Andersen. Around the turn of the century another revolution happened: the internet allows the spread of fake news, and wrong information and viewpoints explode. Conspiracy theorists have found a haven here. Donald Trump, for example, created his political platform and power base in the republican party on the background of a conspiracy theory: that the former president, Barack Obama, not is born in USA. The internet creates a perfect infrastructure to obscure ideas and beliefs, which before were long from mainstream. Alternative realities could now be discharged to a huge audience, which the traditional gatekeepers couldn´t control. While almost all other countries are working deeply seriously with the corona virus, we see an American president, and a large American population, claim that the virus is a hoax. And in connection with the coming presidential election we are witnessing a new conspiracy growing: the so-called QAnon conspiracy. QAnon is a far-right conspiracy theory alleging that a cabal of Satan-worshiping pedophiles running a global child sex-trafficking ring is plotting against President Donald Trump, who is battling them. The theory began with an October 2017 post on the anonymous imageboard 4chan by "Q", who was presumably an American individual, but probably became a group of people. Q claimed to have access to classified information involving the Trump administration and its opponents in the United States. NBC News found that three people took the original Q post and expanded it across multiple media platforms to build internet followings for profit. QAnon was preceded by several similar anonymous 4chan posters, such as FBIAnon, HLIAnon (High-Level Insider), CIAAnon, and WH Insider Anon. Q has accused many liberal Hollywood actors, Democratic politicians, and high-ranking officials of being members of the cabal. Q also claimed that Trump feigned collusion with Russians to enlist Robert Mueller to join him in exposing the ring and preventing a coup d'état by Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and George Soros. "Q" is a reference to the Q clearance used by the U.S. Department of Energy. QAnon believers commonly tag their social media posts with the hashtag #WWG1WGA, signifying the motto "Where We Go One, We Go All". New Age is an American spiritual movement that is a direct result of all of the above-mentioned. It is therefore not surprising that parts of New Age also are promoting Qanon. On Facebook, for example, I follow a great deal of New Age sites. They are filled with skepticism about the existence of Covid-19. As an example, among many others, I will mention YouTuber Eldora Rose. In a video called The Q Movement - Conspiracy or Truth?, she writes: The Q Anon movement has been taking this world by storm, to say the very least! This Global Movement has caught the attention of Mainstream Media as well as MILLIONS of people around the world who are joining together as digital soldiers for a common cause! *** Is Donald Trump secretly a proponent of this movement? *** Did JFK Jr. fake his own death to go underground and become the main driving force for this movement? *** What is the spiritual significance of this movement that is taking the world by a storm? Join us as we shed some light on these hot topics. With love, EldoRa & Siman facebook.com/eldora1111 facebook.com/simanra Below I will post the video, but first I will reveal how this new conspiracy theory, called Qanon, is created by New Age psychotherapy cults. The very notion of satanic ritual abuse, and the rise of Qanon, shows the success of these New Age psychotherapy cults. It also shows how widespread New Age is, and that it is deeply naïve to ignore this movement. For example, on the Watkins´ Spiritual 100 List on the most spiritual influential living people, you can see New Agers overall represented. Oprah Winfrey is the second most influential spiritual person in the world after the Pope! Dalai Lama is only number three. New Age psychotherapy cults are for example therapies such as Experiential psychotherapy, Rebirthing, Reparenting, Past life regression, Hypnotherapy, Alien abduction, Recovered memory therapy, Satanic ritual abuse, Primal Therapy, Gestalt therapy, Energy Breathing, Holotropic Breathwork, etc., etc. Also Nonviolent Communication, NLP and New Thought, must be seen as kinds of New Age psychotherapy cults. A common thread in satanic ritual abuse psychotherapies, it is the belief that a person having problems is not likely to be responsible for those problems (this is not so in other New Age psychotherapies, where victim bashing is in the centre). Another thread is the belief that the patient must discover the cause of his or her problem to be helped. These causes are built into the psychotherapy itself, and are therefore pure prejudice. It is causes such as inadequate parents, sexual abuse, satanic rituals, cannibalistic orgies, past lives, alien abduction, possession by entities, etc. In the best Sophist way, the therapists are planting such causes in their patients´ minds. They give their patients books to read or videos to watch. They plant them during hypnosis, group sessions, etc., and then these planted causes are “recovered” and offered as validation of their therapeutic techniques and theories. A third thread is the arrogance and incompetence of the therapists. They are very seldom educated psychologists, most often they are hopelessly uneducated. It doesn´t matter if they can show a diploma from one or the other private “New Age” education, which normally consists in a few weekend courses. As shown in a documentary by Ofra Bikel “Divided Memories”, they are oblivious to how they are demonstrating the monstrosity of their pseudoscientific and self-deceptive work. They talk freely about how uninterested they are in the truth and how indifferent they are to the families they help destroy. They are uniform in their dismissal of critics as being in “denial.” Patient after patient is paraded forth by the therapists as evidence of their good work, yet none of the patients seem better for the therapy and many seem hopelessly ill. The documentary shows the subjectivism and relativism in the New Age environment. Watch the documentary on the playlist of my YouTube channel An example of a satanic ritual abuse psychotherapist is Colin A. Ross. He is a Canadian psychiatrist and former president of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation from 1993 to 1994. There is controversy about his methods and claims, which include recovered memory through hypnosis of Satanic ritual abuse and his own assertion that he can harness chi energy from his eyes to manipulate electronics. Take a look at his bibliography. Ross has written several books about psychiatry and related subjects. Some of these books are:
Colin Ross is a perfect example of my claim that conspiracy theories themselves are a conspiracy (the Matrix Conspiracy), and I see the general preaching of subjectivism and relativism as attempts of making us doubt our own senses and ability of critical thinking, so that we can be made suggestible for the underlying ideology (called gaslightning - see my page: My Cultural Criticism). Ross delivers the complete pseudoscientific material of the QAnon conspiracy. In my article, The Devastating New Age Turn in Psychotherapy, I describe different persuasion techniques used in New Age psychotherapy cults, both physiological and psychological persuasion techniques. Today psychotherapy cults can, if you look a bit carefully, easily be recognized in the popular mindfulness environment. In fact, the management and coaching environment are psychotherapy cults put into a social accepted system. Hypnosis is classed as a psychological rather than a physiological method because it is essentially a form of highly focused mental concentration in which one person allows another to structure the object of the concentration and simultaneously suspends critical judgment and peripheral awareness. When this method is used in cultic environment, it becomes a form of psychological manipulation and coercion because the cult leader implants suggestions aimed at his own agenda while the person is in a vulnerable state. Mindfulness induced relaxation is of course ideal for this goal. Trancelike states can occur during hypnosis, during complete absorption in reading or hearing stories, and during marked concentration. They are sometimes referred to as altered states of consciousness. A number of cults use techniques that put people into an altered state of consciousness, making them more compliant. They engage members in a fair amount of behavior that induces trances, as evidenced by the types and quality of the lectures and sermons and the required activities, such as prolonged chanting or meditation, and repetitive rote behavior. Trance induction is the model for some of the maneuvres used by cult leaders to change the attitudes and behaviors of their followers. Guided Imagery is an indirect trance induction which grows out of storytelling and other verbal experiences. Cult leaders often speak repetitively, rhythmically, in hard-to-follow ways, and combine with these features the telling of tales and parables that are highly visualizable. They use words to create mental imagery, commonly called guided imagery. In these guided-imagery exercises, the listener is urged to picture the story being told. The speaker may say, “Stop reflecting. Just go with the picture.” Those who do stop reflecting on their nearby circumstances and go with the picture suddenly feel absorbed, relaxed, and very focused. And guided-imagery stories lead many people to experience altered states of consciousness. For many persons, entering a trance state is pleasurable. It provides a respite from thought about the woes of everyday life A considerable number of different guided-imagery techniques (for example reading poetry or being in regression psychotherapy) are used by cult leaders and trainers to remove followers from their normal frames of reference. You don´t need much awareness in order to discover how all of the above are present in the following video by New Age YouTuber Eldora Rose. Note how it begins with the just described techniques. This is substantiated by the stories about love, light and angels (everything she says is apparently sanctioned by angels). Hereafter the QAnon conspiracy is introduced: Update! The video below has now been removed (probably by YouTube; after all, it was rather scary). But I will refer to Eldora Rose´s YouTube channel, to see how "lovingly" and "spiritual" she (and her always accompanying partner) works. I haven´t looked through all videos, but it seems like the QAnon promotion is removed. However, you can see the promotion of The Matrix. About how that concept is used for gaslighting, see my article: My Cultural Criticism. QAnon is, contrary to the left-wing New Age version, extremely psychological violent (just remember what it is they accuse public persons for). People whom they disagree with is openly on social medias being attributed their own invented “diagnoses”. For New Age diagnoses, again see my article: The Devastating New Age Turn in Psychotherapy.
If the victims complain, they will immediately be reminded about that they now violate other New Age “techniques” as for example “Nonviolent Communication”, or that they lack “love”. The extreme and aggressive ways this right now are carried out on social medias gives a warning about that this easily can develop into actual terrorism. About Nonviolent Communication, see my article: Nonviolent Communication is an Instrument of Psychic Terror. It should be added, that many people spreading QAnon theories, not are aware of it, or they might even be “New Age critics”, etc. First there was the pandemic, then came the “infodemic” — a term the head of the World Health Organization defines as the spread of false information about COVID-19. The most dangerous conspiracy theories about the coronavirus are now part of the QAnon phenomenon. For months now, actors in QAnon have downplayed the severity of the crisis, amplified medical disinformation and have been originators of hoaxes. Unfortunately for the believers, all this might, contrary to what they preach, signal the end of the American Era. That´s what the anthropologist, Wade Davis, writes in his article, The Unraveling of America (Rolling Stone, August 6, 2020). He writes: No empire long endures, even if few anticipate their demise. Every kingdom is born to die. The 15th century belonged to the Portuguese, the 16th to Spain, 17th to the Dutch. France dominated the 18th and Britain the 19th. Bled white and left bankrupt by the Great War, the British maintained a pretense of domination as late as 1935, when the empire reached its greatest geographical extent. By then, of course, the torch had long passed into the hands of America. […] In a dark season of pestilence, COVID has reduced to tatters the illusion of American exceptionalism. At the height of the crisis, with more than 2,000 dying each day, Americans found themselves members of a failed state, ruled by a dysfunctional and incompetent government largely responsible for death rates that added a tragic coda to America’s claim to supremacy in the world. For the first time, the international community felt compelled to send disaster relief to Washington. For more than two centuries, reported the Irish Times, “the United States has stirred a very wide range of feelings in the rest of the world: love and hatred, fear and hope, envy and contempt, awe and anger. But there is one emotion that has never been directed towards the U.S. until now: pity.” As American doctors and nurses eagerly awaited emergency airlifts of basic supplies from China, the hinge of history opened to the Asian century. Davis is not the only one seeing this. In her article, The Pandemic is a Portal, the Indian author, Arundhati Roy, writes: Night after night, from halfway across the world, some of us watch the New York governor’s press briefings with a fascination that is hard to explain. We follow the statistics, and hear the stories of overwhelmed hospitals in the US, of underpaid, overworked nurses having to make masks out of garbage bin liners and old raincoats, risking everything to bring succour to the sick. About states being forced to bid against each other for ventilators, about doctors’ dilemmas over which patient should get one and which left to die. And we think to ourselves, “My God! This is America!” The tragedy is immediate, real, epic and unfolding before our eyes. But it isn’t new. It is the wreckage of a train that has been careening down the track for years. Who doesn’t remember the videos of “patient dumping” — sick people, still in their hospital gowns, butt naked, being surreptitiously dumped on street corners? Hospital doors have too often been closed to the less fortunate citizens of the US. It hasn’t mattered how sick they’ve been, or how much they’ve suffered. At least not until now — because now, in the era of the virus, a poor person’s sickness can affect a wealthy society’s health. And yet, even now, Bernie Sanders, the senator who has relentlessly campaigned for healthcare for all, is considered an outlier in his bid for the White House, even by his own party. While all this is happening, and while most of the world is taking Covid-19 deadly serious, and is working hard to face the problem, we see an American president, and an American population, who are denying reality and drowning themselves in conspiracy theories. The rest of the world is watching this in amazement, slowly losing any respect left for this country (unfortunately there are those who are mimicking USA – after all: we are trained to do so). Davis writes: COVID-19 didn’t lay America low; it simply revealed what had long been forsaken. As the crisis unfolded, with another American dying every minute of every day, a country that once turned out fighter planes by the hour could not manage to produce the paper masks or cotton swabs essential for tracking the disease. The nation that defeated smallpox and polio, and led the world for generations in medical innovation and discovery, was reduced to a laughing stock as a buffoon of a president advocated the use of household disinfectants as a treatment for a disease that intellectually he could not begin to understand. As a number of countries moved expeditiously to contain the virus, the United States stumbled along in denial, as if willfully blind. With less than four percent of the global population, the U.S. soon accounted for more than a fifth of COVID deaths. The percentage of American victims of the disease who died was six times the global average. Achieving the world’s highest rate of morbidity and mortality provoked not shame, but only further lies, scapegoating, and boasts of miracle cures as dubious as the claims of a carnival barker, a grifter on the make. […] These politically motivated remarks may be easy to dismiss. But Americans have not done themselves any favors. Their political process made possible the ascendancy to the highest office in the land a national disgrace, a demagogue as morally and ethically compromised as a person can be. As a British writer quipped, “there have always been stupid people in the world, and plenty of nasty people too. But rarely has stupidity been so nasty, or nastiness so stupid”. The American president lives to cultivate resentments, demonize his opponents, validate hatred. His main tool of governance is the lie; as of July 9th, 2020, the documented tally of his distortions and false statements numbered 20,055. If America’s first president, George Washington, famously could not tell a lie, the current one can’t recognize the truth. Inverting the words and sentiments of Abraham Lincoln, this dark troll of a man celebrates malice for all, and charity for none. Odious as he may be, Trump is less the cause of America’s decline than a product of its descent. As they stare into the mirror and perceive only the myth of their exceptionalism, Americans remain almost bizarrely incapable of seeing what has actually become of their country. The republic that defined the free flow of information as the life blood of democracy, today ranks 45th among nations when it comes to press freedom. In a land that once welcomed the huddled masses of the world, more people today favor building a wall along the southern border than supporting health care and protection for the undocumented mothers and children arriving in desperation at its doors. In a complete abandonment of the collective good, U.S. laws define freedom as an individual’s inalienable right to own a personal arsenal of weaponry, a natural entitlement that trumps even the safety of children; in the past decade alone 346 American students and teachers have been shot on school grounds. The American cult of the individual denies not just community but the very idea of society […] Once your thoughts spread themselves too far out in an extreme (for example exaggerated exceptional) the energy-system will compensate by seeking to bring itself back to the balance of the middle. The system does this by seeking over towards the opposite extreme (for example an exaggerated feeling of fiasco). That is: through a contra-balancing, a compensation. Here we speak from the second energy-law, that energy works as pendulum-movements. The more energy, which is invested in the one extreme of a pair of opposites, the larger the swing in the opposite direction will be. What apply for the individual, also apply for the collective and for nature. You can therefore also observe this energy-law in groups, societies, world-images, yes, in all Mankind, and in the Universe. You can observe it in everything, which is movement and not unmoved being. For example, right now Mankind is in an ego-extreme. This is reflected in numerous fields. Too much energy is invested in armament. Too many atomic weapons. Too much pollution. Too much unequal distribution of the treasures of the Earth. Too much unequal distribution of the food and fruits of the Earth. And first of all: too many people are too focused in their ego; they accumulate energy to their ego, to themselves; or to the family ego; to the national ego; or to ideologies. This is the energy in one extremity. With necessity the energy will swing over in the opposite extreme. And this will not happen in a quiet way, when you consider the enormous moment, that is in the actual extreme, and it will happen quite simple: through pollution of the environment, through illness (aids, cancer and upcoming new illnesses), through crises, warfare, terror, through inner mass-psychotic collapses, and through natural disasters. Again, a lot of this is not my personal prophesy. We can witness it happening right now. I have suggested that we right now are approaching what I call The Matrix Hybrid between Western surveillance capitalism and Chinese Communism. The Western civilization has for along time been engaged in a destabilization program orchestrated by China and Russia. China is openly beginning to colonialize the world, investing, for example, in Africa (read more). Today it would also be wise to add China as an AI superpower. In his New York Times Bestseller, AI Superpowers – China, Silicon Valley and the New World Order, Dr. Kai-Fu Lee, one of the world's most respected experts on AI and China, reveals that China has suddenly caught up to the US at an astonishingly rapid and unexpected pace. When they surpass USA, democracy is a past chapter. In the time of writing this, we namely see how China has removed democracy in Hong Kong. They have introduced a new law which makes it possible for citizens to be prosecuted in China. China is fully in progress of reintroducing hard-core Communism, as for example the re-introduction of re-education-camps. China does this at the same time as it is embracing capitalism, or rather: techno-capitalism. Just think about it for a moment instead of celebrating how China finally is “opening up for Western values.” We ought to look at what is happening in Hong Kong. In her brilliant book, The Age of Surveillance Capitalism – The Fight for a Human Future at the New Frontier of Power, Shoshana Zuboff explains how neoliberalism is a shelter for the rise of surveillance capitalism. She describes surveillance capitalism as a global system of behavior modification that threatens human nature in the twenty-first century just as industrial capitalism disfigured the natural world in the twentieth. This is precisely what China embraces. While all this happens in the Western world, China is just sitting and waiting until its AI power is large enough. Meanwhile, the Western world is destabilizing itself through postmodernism, which is the main theory on all Western Universities today (in its core, postmodernism is the old University Marxism/Stalinism in new clothing). Note that Russia also is an active player in the systematic destabilization of the Western World. They also use new technologies such as cyberattacks and fake news. They even have a special action group called 29155. It is a topsecret unity of agents specialized in “destabilization” in foreign countries. In the Spanish newspaper, El País, there was an article called Western intelligence services tracked Russian spy in Catalonia. The subtitle is: Spain’s High Court is investigating whether a GRU official named Denis Sergeev, who carried out subversive actions across Europe and Asia, also tried to destabilize the region during its 2017 independence drive. In October 2019, New York Times brought an article called, Top Secret Russian Unit Seeks to Destabilize Europe, Security Officials Say. It begins: First came a destabilization campaign in Moldova, followed by the poisoning of an arms dealer in Bulgaria and then a thwarted coup in Montenegro. Last year, there was an attempt to assassinate a former Russian spy in Britain using a nerve agent. Though the operations bore the fingerprints of Russia’s intelligence services, the authorities initially saw them as isolated, unconnected attacks. Western security officials have now concluded that these operations, and potentially many others, are part of a coordinated and ongoing campaign to destabilize Europe, executed by an elite unit inside the Russian intelligence system skilled in subversion, sabotage and assassination. Interference in American elections. The sponsorship of extremist politics in Europe. War in Ukraine. In recent years, Vladimir Putin’s Russia has waged a concerted campaign to expand its influence and undermine Western institutions. But how and why did all this come about, and who has orchestrated it? I suggest that you read the investigative journalist and former Moscow correspondent, Catherine Belton´s book: Putin´s People – How the KGB Took Back Russia and Then Took On the World. In the book, Belton reveals the untold story of how Vladimir Putin and the small group of KGB men surrounding him rose to power and looted their country. Delving deep into the workings of Putin’s Kremlin, Belton accesses key inside players to reveal how Putin replaced the freewheeling tycoons of the Yeltsin era with a new generation of loyal oligarchs, who in turn subverted Russia’s economy and legal system and extended the Kremlin's reach into the United States and Europe. The result is a chilling and revelatory exposé of the KGB’s revanche―a story that begins in the murk of the Soviet collapse, when networks of operatives were able to siphon billions of dollars out of state enterprises and move their spoils into the West. Putin and his allies subsequently completed the agenda, reasserting Russian power while taking control of the economy for themselves, suppressing independent voices, and launching covert influence operations abroad. Ranging from Moscow and London to Switzerland and Brooklyn’s Brighton Beach―and assembling a colorful cast of characters to match―Putin’s People is the definitive account of how hopes for the new Russia went astray, with stark consequences for its inhabitants and, increasingly, the world. Yes, we are living in a strange time. The Corona crisis has, besides it´s obvious negative side, also accomplished one of the most strange events in world history. All over the world, people have, of course due to government restrictions, stopped up. They stay at home, they don´t fly, they think over their behavior. People show will to co-operation, helpfulness, kindness. Moreover: the whole consumer industry has stopped up. Capitalism has received a major blow. However, this has resulted in that Nasa now can show pictures of a decreasing air pollution. There rules a strange stillness everywhere, a kind of meditation, a moment of afterthought. This is the portal which Arundhati Roy talks about. In other words: it seems like the Corona crisis is interconnected with climate crisis. But, the pandemic will hardly be used as a portal. Instead there will, as indicated, probably happen a change in power balance, where Westerners will be the gaping witnesses, and victims, to the rise of China. We will probably, for a brief period. see a hybrid of Western Surveillance Capitalism and Chinese communism. But China is also a strong supporter of evolutionism, and don´t care much about climate change. Therefore, the climate change will come to full expression with all its consequences. The problem is that we will not be able to stop it, because no one will be willing to be adjusted. We will therefore be adjusted in the hard way. The Earth will become more or less uninhabitable, and, perhaps, there will, as the above-mentioned Yuga teaching foresees, come a time period of about 432.000 years of hardship, where the ego-inflation (hereunder the collective ego-inflation of Chinese Communism) will be cleansed out. Finally, the common life span of a human being will be down on 20 years. First hereafter will humans be able to attain self-realization again. At least, this is what the Yuga teachings foresee. As I said in my basis article on conspiracy theories, The Matrix Conspiracy: I think that the many conspiracy theories (hereunder the newest conspiracy theory, QAnon), themselves are a conspiracy. I don´t believe in conspiracy theories for the simple reason of the decline of Dharma (wisdom, knowledge, intellectual capability, life span, emotional and physical strength). Said a bit roughly: I don´t think people are intelligent enough to form a conspiracy that controls the society, but I do believe they are "intelligent" enough to think out conspiracy theories. Read about QAnon and the Corona Virus: How Covid-19 myths are merging with the QAnon conspiracy theory, by Marianna Spring and Mike Wendling (BBC Anti-disinformation unit). Articles on Covid-19 misinformation: 1) Coronavirus Resource Center (by Center for Inquiry. Center for Inquiry belongs to what I call "The Gatekeepers". There are a lot of good articles, but you can also be led astray (as investigated in my Richard Dawkins book). Most of the Corona virus information, however, is quite reliable). 2) COVID-19 pandemic, by RationalWiki (Good overview of conspiracy theories and misinformation. However, like Center for Inquiry, RationalWiki belongs to what I call "The Gatekeepers". There are a lot of good articles, but you can also be led astray). 3) How experts are fighting the Coronavirus 'infodemic', by Emma Charlton 4) Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) advice for the public: Mythbusters, by WHO (The World Health Organization). 5) Coronavirus misinformation, and how scientists can help to fight it, by Nic Fleming (in Nature, 17 June 2020) - Here are some quite good advices! In relation to the latter article, I would also advice you to read about the thought distortion Pseudoscience, in my free Ebook: A Dictionary of Thought Distortions. Pseudoscience is today one of the main tools in spreading misinformation about the Corona Crisis. If you want to go into a deeper study of the widespreading tendency of fake science, I would advice you to read my three ebooks on scientism. Despite that I fully support anti-disinformation campaigns, I´m also worried about how digital surveillance strategies can abuse the Corona Crisis. In my booklet: A Critique of the Simulation Theory and the Rise of Digital Totalitarianism, I wrote about the very influential transhumanist philosopher Nick Bostrom, and his Vulnerable World Hypothesis. Bostrom is one of the "pessimist transhumanists". He fears that artificial intelligence will take over, but at the same time he is all in for digital totalitarianism. Therefore, in all seriosity, he proposes that we, in order to avoid that artificial intelligence takes over, create a high tech surveillance society of Orwellian dimensions. According to him, there are namely no alternatives to the transhumanist prophecy that a Technological Singularity is near (within transhumanist circles there are both pros and cons in relation to the Singularity). Bostrom´s high tech panopticon would be in complete harmony with the Chinese attempts of becoming the world´s leading digital superpower. As I claim in the same booklet: there therefore seems to be some kind of (unintended?) co-operation between the AI superpowers: USA and China (like so many others: Nich Bostrom completely underevaluates the gradual rise of China´s digital power). I also demonstrate, that Silicon Valley and the belonging tech giants, systematically are ignoring democratic procedures. Also this is something China is observing with high interest. Note that this scenario hasn´t anything to do with a singularity. I don´t believe in the singularity (without justification it presupposes that a rather problematic reductionist theory of mind is absolutely true). No, what we will see, is that a global totalitarian ideology will take over, by the help of AI power. Right now we are, in order to fight the Corona Crisis, experiencing a loss of freedom. The Slovenian philosopher, Slavoj Žižek, has called this governmental intervention: Disaster Communism. There seems to be a rationale in it, and it works. The question is: will we regain our freedom after Covid-19? I believe that here is a quite certain reason why, both that the Corona virus not is a hoax, and why the interventions will go away again (besides the above-mentioned scientific articles, and the experiential knowledge of the sick, and relatives to the sick): Surveillance capitalism. I believe both USA and China are emerged in surveillance capitalism: see my article: Yuval Noah Harari: A Neoliberal Marionette Puppet in the Dance Between Surveillance Capitalism and Chinese Communism Neither USA, nor China, have any interest in creating a society where the whole of capitalism collapses. However: the Corona crisis has legitimized the use of digital totalitarianism, and we will probably now see an increase of this. The whole of the postmodernist preaching of subjectivism and relativism, the discovery of scientism as the most brilliant brainwashing technique to date (scientism is, as mentioned, precisely the technique which the many self-proclaimed scientific "experts" on Covid-19 use to spread misinformation via their websites and social medias), and the following rise of conspiracy theories like QAnon, serve as destabilization programs in the overall (unintended?) digital surveillance strategies of the two AI superpowers: USA and China. And finally, weirdly connected with all of the above: In my last newsletter I announced a critical review of Deepak Chopra´s book: The Third Jesus. Instead I have written an update about it in the end of the already existing article: A Critique of Deepak Chopra. I namely find it highly interesting, that QAnon is a movement that builds on standard New Age stuff (New Age builds on Theosophical fascism - read more). Interesting that New Age now shows it´s true fascistic face. Also read this article: Yoga Teachers Take On QAnon, by Kevin Roose (The New York Times, Sept. 15, 2020). When that is said: New Age is not only a right-wing movement. It also, and that´s where Deepak Chopra belongs, builds on countercultural left-wing stuff as for example postmodernism (read more). However, QAnon confirms, as I have said many times before, that postmodernism also gives "intellectual justification" of views belonging to the far right (read more). Also remember that the right-wing Donald Trump is a New Thought practitioner (read more). So is the left-wing Marianne Williamson (read more). Update on Putin and the war in Ukraine: Putinism (Wikipedia) Ivan Ilyin (Ilyin is called Putin´s war philosopher) Ivan Ilyin, Putin´s Philosopher of Russian Fascism, by Timothy Snyder How Understanding Philosopher Ivan Ilyin can Give Insight into Vladimir Putin, by Hampton Terrell Putinversteher (a complete new Wikipedia post, about Western people - originating in Germany - who "undertands Putin". It is a phenomena which is closely related to what I above called the destabilization of the Western countries. The concept of Putinversteher can also be called the most eye-catching manifestation of what Francis Fukuyama calls the post-factual society, created by postmodernism, completely with post-truths, disinformation, fake news, conspiracy theories, manufactured controversy, etc., etc. Examples of Putinverstehers: Ulrike Guérot, who pseudoscientifically claims that it is "documented" and "scientifically verified" that it was Ukraine that provoked Russia - see her book Endspiel Europa. Not surprisingly, her inspiration is an American political "scientist", John Mearsheimer. He has written the article: Why the Ukraine Crisis Is the West´s Fault). A Critique of Donald Trump (about the post-factual situation in America, that has influenced the concept of Putinverstehers. So, this is a direct counter-view of how America, according to Putinverstehers, is influencing the world. As usual, what I want people to investigate is the philosophies lying behind concrete worldviews, in this case: postmodernism. With an expression lend from Lenin, Putinverstehers could be called: Useful Idiots). Update on New Age as a potential violent movement: How the Corona Crisis Has Exposed New Age as a Potential Violent Movement (with the storm on Capitol Hill, we have seen that the above warnings have shown to be true. In this article I go further into this). |
